SYNOPSIS
Hamilton chronicles two summer days in the lives of Lena, 17, and Joe, 20 , became parents by accident not long ago, living in a mixed neighborhood in the suburbs northeast of Baltimore, Maryland.
When the film begins, Lena looking Joe. Lena, who lives with the family Joe, wants to see him before leaving town for the month of August, it did not cross for weeks. Because he rents an apartment to a neighbor and combines both work, Joe gives her money, but gives him very little time.
Through the pursuit of Lena, we met his daughter, his family and his friends, his neighborhood, and Joe, the father of her baby.

CRITICAL
"A minor miracle. Made on a shoestring budget in his native Baltimore, the first film by Matthew Porterfield, which lasts barely an hour, features non-professional actors on film 16mm. And this is one of American independent film's most original, touching and made in recent years. "

- Richard Brody, The New Yorker

" Matt Porterfield's style is subtle, subliminal ... its close wordless images capture the atmosphere and emotion with astonishing reality. "
- Jeannette Catsoulis, The New York Times

" A film arthouse slender, minimalist, came from Baltimore to New York. Staggering in its simple beauty, the amazing acting and hypnotic rhythm. "
- John Waters (filmmaker) Artforum
